Just loaded my ztrac 445 tires

I just used my 445 after filling with rim guard (about 110 lbs per back tire)and it makes a world of difference. My ride was never bad but now I think it's even better also I get less spin on wet ground and it's much more stable on hills. If you're light like me (150 lbs) and you have problems on hills you might want to look into Rimguard.

I really questioned whether Rimguard gave my BX1500, JD 2320 or B2920 a "harsher" ride... glad to hear you're more comfortable with it. Must be the hard-pack gravelly ground around me that accounts for the rough ride.

I just had my rears loaded with Rimguard today, and it made a world of difference. It added about 1100# to the back of my JD4720 (17.5Lx24 R4s), and was what I needed to offset the weight of my 72" HD bucket with tooth bar and Add-a-Grapple. The ride seems a little smoother, and the tractor is very stable, even without a ballast box or blade on the back.

In case you were wondering, it cost me $3.50 per gallon for the Rimguard; I needed 55 gal per tire. With a $120 service charge, the total cost came to $505. I think it was money well spent.

I failed to mention that the tire company had 130 mile round trip to get to my farm, hence the $120 service fee.

From what I've read, if you know you have a leak, you can position the hole so that it's up, and them plug the tire. Sounds easy enough, but all the Rimguard could be gone, before you realize you have a puncture. I share your concern.

On my ztrac it's not a big deal, they only hold 10 gallons each although I wouldn't want ten gallons of beet juice on my garage floor!
On my tractor I'm hesitant to Rimguard them. I have a lot of thorny scrub brush here and it did put a flat in one of my front tires. I Slimed it and it sealed. I think I'll get weights for my back wheels on the tractor. I know it's no where as good as 1000 lbs in a tire.
Anyone got a ballast box extension? I see Deere sells them but have never seen one. They should add a lot of weight to the rear end.
