Just how good is 4 wheel drive

Only use FWD when I am doing loader work or rear pto with certain attachments, other then that it is 1 - 2 wheel drive while using the MMM or just cruising around.

Since I use proper ballast and counter weight, I really don’t need 4 wheel drive on the tractor often. One of my older smaller tractors rarely has the correct ballast or counter wieght on it and needs 4 wheel drive most of the time to get anything done.

One thing to note is that when you have proper ballast and counter wieght and find yourself looking for traction it becomes more like a tank in 4 wheel drive, as long as what ever your in isn’t higher than the axels.

To me, 4wd is like two people walking. No problem. Now 2wd is like one person carrying the other person.
