Nice little tractor you got there. As far as attachments, I would go with a york rake with gauge wheels or a boxblade. The box blade seems to be more useful but both are very valuable. The box blade will be about half the price too! I don't have a york rake, but my box blade has been a pretty valuable tool.

P.S. why is this in the do-it-yourself category...? :D

It is not an attachment but you want to flip the lights in the ROP. They'll snag and break off pretty quick.

Yeah, I'd remove, flip, or build a shield/cage for the flashers on the ROPS. I have a 2320 Deere, didn't take much more than a couple months to find the wrong tree branch with one...

Deere sells a guard kit for them, not sure how much it is or how much it protects...

You live in Ontario....... Do you have anything other than that FEL to move snow?

As for other attachments:

Lots of folks on here build grapples for their loader bucket. I haven't yet, but I've run into plenty of tasks just this past summer that could've used one. (moving downed branches/trees, etc)

I have a box blade for mine to grade the driveway. Didn't build it, bought a King Kutter 5' one at TSC, then painted it JD green and put a John Deere decal on the back. Did that partly to match the tractor, partly to clean up and cover all the paint chips and rust that it came witch. Seems pretty common for KK stuff.

I recently bought a KK middle buster to do primary tillage and fall tillage in our garden to help mellow out that soil. Works good. Would be easy to build a middle buster or subsoiler, not much too them. Biggest thing is having/getting the big chunk of steel for the backbone, I think the KK is 1" x 4" bar, was easier to buy the whole thing for me than tracking down a short chunk of big iron like that.

thanks for the sugestions, I didnt even think about the flashers il have to come up with an idea i might just flip them inside. and yes i do live in ontario and there already calling for snow :)))) but yeah we have a 5425 with a 7 foot blower on it that we use to blow our drive way. Were just going to use the FEL to do the areas where the blower cant fit. And a question about the grapple. i want to make one but there isnt any other hydralic hookups on that tractor beside the FEL ones. Has any one that ownes a 2305 put auxilary hydraulic outputs on these things?

Do a search on this forum for grapples. Lots of folks have built them, most had the same issue with needing a 3rd hydro function. The options seem to be:

1. Add a solenoid actuated splitter valve to allow a pushbutton switch on the joystick to divert the dump/curl function on your tractor to your grapple. Basically inserts a valve after the couplers on the tractor with one set of outlets on the valve going to the normal dump/curl hoses, the other set going to the grapple...

2. Add a third function valve. Basically have to tap into the hydraulic system like a power beyond kit would and put a valve there for a third set of couplers or something... Not sure if the 2305 is set up the same as the 2320/2520, but this thread had some good info on hydro mods:
