Local dealer quoted me $10,500 for the tractor and $13,625 for tractor and loader. I thought that was pretty good quote over the phone. I could probably get him down to $13,000 or so if I go talk to him in person. What do you guys think?

Don't hold you breath on the 13K figure...
I don't see how he quoted you those figures...did you tell him you are paying cash for this tractor?
I get 14.5K for a 270DTC & FEL. All dealers pay the same, sounds like one heck of a deal if you can get him to "stick" to those figures but don't get your heart set on him coming much lower...thats awful cheap, must need to move a unit.

Wow. Beats the price that I paid by almost $1K. Is it set up with the Farmtrac 5040 (blue) loader? Please keep us posted.

I visited this dealer on Tuesday. Price was correct and it had the blue 5040 loader. This is a small dealership with a couple of oldschool farmers running it - both in their mid 60's. They are a Mahindra dealership as well and just started selling the Farmtracs this year. He told me how many they have sold so far, but I can't remember. I think around 30 Farmtracs so far. He said they have been selling Mahindra for 5 years and average 55 - 65 tractors per year with them. I suspect this is pretty good for such a small dealership. They only had maybe 15 tractors on the lot. One of each of the smaller CUTs and a handful of the bigger Farmtracs. I was looking at the Mahindra 2815 HST in particular and the ticket price was 15,995 with loader. Thats a good price without any haggling. He mentioned he had sold 12 of the 2815's so far and they just came out in the spring.
One thing I thought was a heck of a deal was a Taylor-Way Pittsburgh 3-point hoe they are selling. My FIL bought on off of them 2 years ago for $4000 and the price now is $4200. Nice little hoe with 6 1/2' digging depth. My FIL has worked his pretty hard and hasn't had a problem with it yet.

I got my 270 with loader for 13 something last year. I agree you probably wont get it much cheaper. I love my little tractor. I just plowed about 4 acres pulling a 3-14 ford 101 plow. It was through sandy loam but I was pulling it in the high 1 with little problems and it was going down 7inches. Have fun with your new 270DTC.
