I just got a '52 8N, it has the side mount dist and has been converted to 12v.
I can't read the Serial number but I'll get my daughter to see if better eyes make a difference.
I had to put a new battery in it, bought a "Lawn & Garden" 165amp and it now starts fine. Just to make sure, on the fuel shut off, clockwise is OFF? Can anyone explain how the "2 turns open" and full open for reserve works? I know it will run on 2 turns open but don't understand how full open makes a difference.
I have printed Soundguy's maintenance instructions and will begin right after I get done with my initial seat time. I did check the fluid levels and they are OK and look clean.
