Just finished another Handy Bucket for the 318

Well, I just finished a Handy Bucket for a 318. This one fits on the JD 100, 200 and 300 series with two spool valves and a front hitch for the snow/grader blade. The bucket is the same as the first one I build except 8 inches narrower. The challenge on this one was to construct a hook up point to the a frame for the lift. This is what I came up with.

Excellent work!! What did you use to cut the steel? Those cuts look very precise.

Thanks Scott, I used my Miller Spectrum 625 and my Jet 7 x 12 banbsaw. Sure makes cutting easier and faster...

They do have to be precise for everything to work correctly. Fit up is a lot quicker now. I used an O/A on the first one and it took me weeks longer....

You’re lucky to have a plasma cutter and a band saw. I am building a 3 point hitch log splitter and I have been using my saw zall with metal cutting blades. Surprisingly it is working better than the Dewalt chop saw. I don’t think the chop saw is built to cut ¼ tube steel or anything thick. I should have put my money towards the band saw. There is always e-bay! BTW, What size welder are you using? Those welding beads look nice and you can see the penetration from welding the cutting edge on. I have a Lincoln Mig 155 which is 220 volts. It is rated for ¼ steel but I have been doing ½ for the splitter. I am hoping to get enough penetration.
