I just bought an M6800 to replace my L4330. It is a 2000 model according to the dealer. My L4330 is a 2003 model and it has a sychronized shuttle. I assumed that the M6800 also had the same sychronized shuttle becasue they both have the same gear set up..i.e 8F and 8R. Was I wrong? I just noticed that after operating it some this afternoon that you have to let the tractor come to a complete stop before you shift from Forward to Reverse or Reverse to Forward if you don't you get the grinding sound. My L4330 is not like that. If this is really the way it is suppose to be then I am ok with it, I just want to make sure nothing is wrong. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

bamafan, Sounds like you found a nice tractor. I had a M5030 that operated the same way. The shuttle was not sychronized. You do have to come to a complete stop to shift direction of travel. Became such a habit I find myself doing it with the tractor I use now. Either way, the M6800 is a good rig. Good Luck.
