Reminds me of the tv show "The Glades". They just left the star flopping around on the floor with a bullet hole in him on his wedding day. And that was that.. We will never know if old Jim survived. We do know that Callie's wedding day was ruined.. And that is about it.

Hope it was something like being said rather than he ran into serious issue getting or trying to get the cutter...all did not come home in Deliverance you know. Just hope not hurt or sick to the point he is not able to post.

I remember my father telling me I can that I should buy the the Ford 11-47 I think even though it looks like crap,find all the stones with it on my property and then buy a better one.Well I got that cutter for $200 back in the spring of 1984 and guess what ? I am still beating the crap out of it 32 yrs later.Best I can figure it is an early 60's cutter.Bottom seal leaks so it has had grease it it for the last 20 yrs.Just replaced the 2 clutch discs about 3 yrs ago for the first time.A buddy had a new set of blades hanging in his barn that he gave to me.They don't make them like they use to.

Agreed. I had a ford 95? Series cutter that was new in 84. I used it on and off with my yanmar tractor.

Ditto, bought a used 60" Landpride to "find the rocks" for $250... just put new blades on it and bought the metal to re-do the deck... if I ever get it back from lending it to a friend :ashamed:

I wish I could have found a 200$ cutter! I think mine was $3000 or so in my tractor package.

Ken, a little V grinding and some 7018 would go a long way on that front skid to making it go another 8 years. It wouldn't take long.
