Hi All,

Happy holiday's. I just purchased a 758C New Holland Backhoe to go with my TC45D New Holland Tractor. How do I hook up the hydraulic hoses? Do I have to or should I purchase something from my dealer. Does an external kit exist to hook up the backhoe? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Ron

You will need a Power Beyond kit. They usually consist of a couple of hoses, a sleeve that goes into the loader control valve and a bracket. You will be able to get the kit for your dealer. If you are so inclined, you should be able to install it yourself. They are normally pretty simple to install. Maybe someone with that frame size of tractor with that backhoe can tell give you more details.

Make sure you get hoses long enough to hook up to the backhoe before it is mounted. You need to be able to articulate the hoe to get it level enough to slide into the tractor. My dealer put mine together with a short hose on back and could not get it back on once removed. He said it was a stock hose. I had another one made that allows me to back up to it, hook it up, articulate it in place, and then back into the mount. I just measured the original hose and it was 6 feet long from contols to the connector on the back of the tractor and it would just reach if the BH is already mounted in the bracket. It probably needed an 8 foot, I went 10 and have a little too much.

Thanks Paul, is it possible that you could take some pictures. I am wondering where to connect the two hoses? The dealer says I have to buy a kit part # 715431006. I think these comes with a valve, a bracket and two hoses. I think you saying make those hoses 8 feet. I wonder if I can just buy the bracket and valve and have the hoses made.

When I put a 758 on my 2120, the dealer made a loop with a quick disconnect that i needed to take apart below the loader valve and connect the long backhoe line into one side and elave the other disconnected. The other line went into a quick connect that appears to dump into the slump near the rear differential that is not normally connected anywhere. You'll like the 758, it's a good little hoe.

I've got a 757C on my 1920. The setup essentially connects to the mid valve under the operator seat - the Hoe hooks up to where the 3 Point Lift hooks up. Remove the hose that connects to the valve and connect the hoe's line to this line (you've bypassed the valve) and another hoe line connects to a port on top of the rear axle housing. I can probably take pic's if you need or scan the user's manual for the correct schematic. Don't know how this differs from the 758 and the 2120 but the tractors are very similar. Frame Mounts ae the only way to go.

I actually have the tractor a ways from me for a few weeks so I can’t get the pics very soon. I was able to measure the hose because it was still in the back of the truck. I purchased the tractor with the hoe already mounted so I am not sure what was already on it before they mounted it. I know it has a long hose that runs along the side of the frame on the backhoe on the side of the tractor the bucket lever is on up to where the 3 point gets it’s fluid. You must disconnect the hose to the 3 point and hook up the hose to the backhoe there. It has a second hose coming from off the valve to the rear coupler mounted above the axel on the same side. This is the hose I had to make longer. Paul
