Jumping out of B range

My Branson 6530R has now done just over 1,000 hrs and has run pretty well to date. However, I've now hit a problem and would appreciate some advice please.

Recently, it's taken to sometimes jumping out of B range, more likely if it's pulling something (either forward or back). It may be my imagination but it seems to happen more when the tractor's been running a while. Also, once in B for a while, it seems more likely to stay in. Ranges A and C are fine. So too are gears 1-4 and the shuttle.

My question is, could this be a linkage or similar problem - or is this the big one, requiring splitting the tractor and taking the transmission out?

Any advice on diagnostics gratefully received.

My middle range is very easy to pop out of gear, not sure why.

To both of yall, if it still feels like the detent is working, ie it feels like it is locking in that position instead of sliding right through it, and popping out of range under load its not good news. On the 6530R there is the possibility of the range shifter cable about to break but unlikely. More then likely on both the 6530R and the 4720i that the gears themselves are damaged due to being shifted into B range while grinding. Have done a couple on both models. Not what either of yall want to hear but likely what happened. Good news is once repaired and driven correctly both systems will last many thousands of hours of use without failure. Have about 6 6530s with over 5000 hours and a couple of 4720s with over 10000 hours with nothing more then standard maintenence done to them and that not done as often as needed.
