My father-in-law went and put money down on one for the store to order......month or so passed and it never came in.

So, he got his money back and went to another store and walked out with one.

I can see the purpose but they aren't my style. He hadn't shot it yet and neither have I. I think he bought the longer (6.5"???) barrel.

Like I said, I guess it's more function over form, I think they are odd looking.

So the .410 shell is harder to hang on to than the .45lc? What about compared to a .44 mag?

I couldn't tell a nickel's worth of difference between the .410 and .45lc. I have never shot a .44 mag but the recoil seamed less than the .40 glock I sold this summer. Or maybe the noise took my mind off of the recoil. I shot it once and decided I DO need to go to the house and get my muffs before I shoot the remaining 3 shells!!

i shot a short barrel .357 once with no ear muffs.....on the 3rd shot my left ear went completely deaf..........i couldn't snap my fingers and hear it, etc.........i thought i lost my hearing in that ear.....it did start coming back about 3 months after....

i was pretty scared........anything over a .22 and i use muffs, now

to this day, that ear is still sensitive to noise....

Yeah.. I prefer hearing protection on anything over about 96db.. hearings too hard to replace!
