joystick sticks

Just bought a branson 3520R with a Westendorf FEL. When I raise the bucket, the joystick stays in the up position, and I have to manually push the joystick back to center to stop the bucket from raising. It's a fender mounted joystick with cables. Any ideas where I should look?

Dirt or rust in cables.
