I am new to 4-in-1 buckets and I was wondering what preference more experienced users have for operating the moving part of the clam from a joystick.
My joystick has a push button 3rd service (not a rocker), so I open/close the clam by pressing the button, then moving joystick to left or right.
I seem to have two options, depending on which way the bucket hoses are connected :-
[A] Joystick to left opens clam. Joystick to right closes clam.
There is some logic in this arrangement as the clam is moving in the same direction as the bucket does when it curls and dumps.
Joystick to left closes clam. Joystick to right opens clam.
This feels ok too when I tried it.
Are there any advantages to using the joystick one way or the other that I'm not yet seeing as a novice user ?
I'm sure I could get used to either way, just thought it best to ask now before I go and get too set in my ways.
