Joystick Control Pin

I have a Mahindra 4500 and the joystick control pin for the front end loader tilt function has broken (see images). Does anyone have any idea where I can purchase a new replacement? I've thought about just sticking a bolt in it, but unless it is hardened steel, it will most likely bend. Suggestions? Help? I have a huge pile of dirt I need to move and I am dead-in-the-water until I get this fixed. Thanks.

I'd try a bolt, looks like you might have to buy a larger bolt to get the right thread and have it turned down to fit your joint.

Do you have any idea as to the actual manufacturer? I know that the joystick and hydraulics on my TYM were Made by NIMCO. And, have sourced parts bu searching for Nimco parts.

I’d go along with using a grade 8 or 10 bolt, and seeing what happens. I can buy grade 8 bolts at the local ACE.

If your control valve was made by Besco, you're SOL on parts. No Mahindra dealer carries them (that I could find), and the service manual says to replace the entire valve assembly (way too costly).

I agree with the others to try to swap out the bolt.

Just for clarification, can you actually see the break in the bolt/pin, or is the pin not returning to center due to (maybe) a spool spring not working?

I have a Mahindra 4510, made in 2004. Last Fall I had the same thing happen. As I needed to complete some work my brother put an old bolt in and a nut as I recall. I used it for several months that way. I had my tractor in the shop later for other work and they replaced the temporary bolt. Unsure if they just got a new pin or it took more. Just saying the bolt worked in a pinch for me.
