What is the easiest way to start a D that does not have a starter motor

Do you have another tractor with a belt pulley? A 6' to 8" flat belt, twist the belt 1/2 twist & belt them up, pulley to pulley. Get the D spinning with the clutch snapped out, the engage the clutch.

Open the petcocks to reduce the compression and turn the flywheel by hand.GOOD LUCK

As mentioned already, plus can you get at it to pull it?
