There’s always a risk with used, but so far I’ve generally been willing to take on that risk with equipment. Other than some implements, and my BX new, everything else, including all vehicles, I have generally bought low hour/mileage, used. None of it makes me money.
We have 100 acres and let youth orgs (scouts, church groups, etc.) use it two weekends a month for camping but don’t charge for many reasons. So I want to have good reliable stuff to keep the place nice but need to be able to afford if with my day job salary.
I’d run the the thing for a year and see how it goes. The dealer had incentive to do a good job so they don’t have to deal with it again at their cost. If the dealer did a hack job on the repair, hopefully it would manifest itself before then…
