Need advice to remove a steel hyd line that runs from rear to front that leaks just as it bends around front on engine. Is underneath and very hard to see and get at.

Some pictures would help us understand what you are dealing with.

Before you try to replace the entire line, check with JD to see if they have a splice line for the end you need. Take photos and measurements to them and see if they can duplicate the end you need.

I had to split my 755 a couple years ago and while I was in there I replaced the cooler lines.

I would never say it's impossible to do the job without splitting the tractor, but it's going to be a fight and you'll probably end up tearing the machine most of the way down.

It's been a couple years and my memory of the work is a little fuzzy, but it wouldn't be a job I'd be looking forward to doing again.

Update to this problem! Had to take tractor to John deer dealer (now known as United ag&turf). Their solution was to remove the hood, center floor panel, radiator and cooler assembly. Removed the drive shaft and transmission filter. Removed and replaced both cooler tubes.reassembled tractor.
Hope this provides a little insight on replacing these tubes .
Wished I had known this, could have saved a lot of money.

Ouch, that sounds like an absolute kick to the wallet.
