John Deere 3720
If you are considering buying a John Deere let me tell you about my experiences with John Deere. First I bought a 3520 about 30 months ago and had several things go wrong with it to the point where it was replaced with a 3720 at a cost to me. I kept the 3720 for 2 years and sold it to buy another 3720 back in January. Since receiving the 3720 it has had both front axle seals replaced, had to have a complete calibration on the rearend due to it not doing the speed it should, mid PTO went out of it with less than 10 minutes use, Turbo blew out of it, and the dealer could never get the PTO selector right. So anyway I finally had enough and told the dealer to keep the tractor. So what finally ended up happening is the dealer supposedly worked with John Deere and decided to replace the tractor but at a cost of 2800 to me which I think is total rediculous but that was the best they would do for me. The tractor had less than 137 hours buy the time it went back to the dealer. So buyer beware.

This story begs some questions:

First I'd have to ask though if each tractor was new when you purchased it?

And why the change from one 3720 to another after just 2 years?

The reason to buy the new 3720 was as quoted i sold the first one to buy a new one. The tractors were considered new but were dealer demos with less than 100hrs on them when purchased.

This type of thing can, unfortunately, happen with any manufacturer in any model. It's too bad about your negative experience, but that happens no matter what color the tractor is, red, green, blue, orange and so on.

The 3720 is a very nice model but it sounds like you had a bad one.

My 3320 now has over 600 brutal hours on it without a lick of trouble.

It's also true that most owners don't go on a website to praise there tractor, but many will go out of there way to trash there brand of tractor if they had a problem.

I typically agree but you have to consider that this is really the 4th 3x20 series tractor and so far the 2 that i have bought have both been replaced to problems so i guess i am 100% bad luck on purchasing John Deere.

I am a happy owner of John Deere products. I have a 3520 that I like a lot. However, the hydraulics bled down on the loader and remote top and tilt. They replaced the valve body and it was within their spec , but still not what I expected.
They sent out 2 surveys and I reported my dissatisfaction. No response. I now just live with it.

If I had been through your experience, I would be a the Kubota dealer.
Been there done that on a '85 Chevy K30 and a 2006 F450 Ford 6.0 diesel. Both mfg lost me for about 10 yrs each.

I am totally amazed at what these manufactures think sometimes. The internet is one he!! of a tool for research of who is building junk and who is not.I believe they still think it,s 1970-1980 time frame and folks are still uneducated.LOL
