E-hydro has a couple of advantages. First is operator comfort. It uses less effort to push and hold hydro pedals. Second and maybe most important is the load match feature. It prevents overloading the engine if you push down too hard on the pedals. Some people have the inclination of pushing harder on the pedal when it bogs down as if they are pushing on an throttle pedal. That results in bogging down even worse. The load match electronically limits hydro speed no matter how far you push the pedal. The feature works great for pto work, but can be turned off if you prefer the "feel" of mechanical hydro linkage. Another nice feature is motion match. That softens the transition between forward and reverse operation. That is vey nice to smooth out operation when doing things like loader work where you are constantly going from forward to reverse. The downside is that it adds complexity to the system and more possibilities of potential problems.
