Completely baffled with this difficulty....... Zero turn John Deere Z425 stalled as I was finishing a slope.... Figuring it stalled for fuel shortage I went to the garage for fuel..... would not start before battery was low.... opened the by-pass valves and pushed the mower about fifty yards to the garage..... closed the by-pass valves and it started right up with a jump start......But, when I attempted to return to mowing the right lever was un-responsive....nothing....left worked just fine...... Double checked to see if I have failed to completely close the by-pass valve.... both tight.
Now my question.... was there a possibility of sucking air into the hydraulic system by pushing the mower ? Checking the owner manual later said the by-pass only need open one turn...I opened all the way.
If air in the system....How can I remove it.
Certainly any help appreciated. wj5o@amsat.org
