I'd get the 318 if it looks to be taken care of. Take it to a JD dealer and have them do a once over, repairing what needs to be with the money savings. It's way more tractor than the current x300, not even in the same league. The 318 will still be going long after the x300 dies and you'll spend less in the long run.
