John Deere walk behind tiller trying to find information and a owners manual and parts manual for a H50-65283k model with serial 1306r anyone help?

You looking for help on the engine or tiller frame? H50 looks like an older Tecumseh engine model and they went out of bussiness a few years ago.

If you have the model number of the tiller Deere has a good parts breakdown website.

Thank you for your reply, I got it off an older gentleman and know nothing about it and he had it tipped over on its side so there was a little bit of oil coming. He said he put clear gas in. It told me how to start it and I just was trying to find place where I can get a manual and a parts thing, I know I’m gonna take it apart and clean it, but I have not ever other than something like that. Worked on any small engine and I know nothing about these John Deere Rototiller.

I think Tecumseh is still alive and kicking, but not sure how active their engine business is?

It is sad how most (if not all ?) big old American small-engine brands are now produced in low-cost countries.


I have a 1976 Troybilt horse with Tecumseh cast iron HH60 engine which is in an excellent shape.

Tecumseh engines are around by name only. Business was split up years ago with Husqvarna getting the transaxle division. The engine side is owned by the same people that control LCT engines, And the combined name changed to Lauson years ago. Lauson was one of the original if not the original name of Tecumseh.

The Tecumseh products is/was the larger part of the Tecumseh division which was cooling and refrigeration compressors.
