First i have to say that i love this place, this is my first time posting but have been reading for a while. I have 2 gators a 2007 TH6X4 diesel and an XUV diesel and i can honestly say that i love both of them. They serve different purposes and the 6X4 is perfect for what it is used for and the XUV allows me to have a little fun as well. I personally have towed a 1200 gallon tank of water with both of my units and they both perform incredibly. I think that the ranger vs XUV argument will go on for a while simply because both are incredibly capable machines that are also very comparable. Most of the time the 30mph that the XUV goes is more than enough and while a little extra speed might be nice(we can license and drive UTV's and ATV's on the street in south dakota) it never really becomes an issue. I will say that the one thing that i love the most about my XUV is the layout of the controls and the bucket seats. Some love the bench and some the buckets so whatever you like more
