John Deere touch up paint

How close will the paint in the spray can match for touchup work? Its a 14 year old tractor, but the paint still has some shine to it, and probably will improve with some light compounding. My OCD compells me to fix every rusty spot!

On my new tractor I have to look to find the touch up spots. On my 6 foot rear blade I used Tractor Supply JD paint w/hardener. It worked great, and I can't tell any difference between it and the tractor.

I doubt that it will match well. 14 years is a long time and I would guess it will have some fading. Try it on a nonnoticeable area first. On newer tractors such as my prior kubota and current JD, the paint matched very well.
