John deere telehandlers

/ John deere telehandlers #2
was putting in time looking at telehandlers on the net and got to wondering what company makes john deere 3200 3400 etc telehandlers.

John Deere manufactured their own telehandlers in their Zweibrcken Germany plant. They discontinued manufacturing telehandlers in 2006.

Thanks, I thought they looked good but figured they were repainted from some other manufacturer like their big hay rakes are actually vermeers. Just testing the market so to speak.

Need to remember these where not built for the construction world but ag/hay operations. Since none of them can self level they pretty much stayed in the ag/hay world. Not sure that the vermeer and hay rake relationship is accurate though. As far as I know today the only rakes are Frontier rakes and they are H&S and Tonutti.

Not sure about newer ones but earlier JD telehandlers were british matbro machines same as terex .

I agree that Frontier rakes are built by Tonutti & H&S but the JD 700 & 705 were built by Vermeer and JD 702 & 704 were also built by Tonutti. I once owned one of the JD 704 (Tonnutti)rakes that the frame broke numerous times while under warranty

I guess that I was referring to current production, none of the 700 series rakes have been available for close to a decade. For our part of the country we only really see H&S or Sitrex for wheel rakes (for the most part pretty good quality, unless you need something odd from Italy when the whole friggen country is on "holiday", can't remember the month was thinking august), and varying brands for hyd rakes including the ever popular R series vermeers.

I hadn't realized that it had been so long since JD sold the model 705 rake built by Vermeer. I didn't like how the hyd driven rakes "cooked" the hyd oil.

I still think you cant beat JCB for a telehandler but any of the main ones are as good , Matbro,Manitou, Merlo, CAT , Which covers NH,JD,MF,terex . Only full sized telehandler that we hated were bobcats !

My New Holland LM5040 was made by New Holland but was previously Manitou. It has the Manitou lugging for the quick attach though.
