John Deere 4300
Does anyone have source for John Deere parts other than a dealer? I need a water pump for a John Deere 4300, 2001 model. Dealer is much too high and Yanmar can't cross the number over from JD Parts Number. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello sthrngentlmn and :welcome: to TBN:)

Is this the part number you have....MIA880462? Was the price 265.00?
Unfortunately,no matter where you get it,prices are going to be pretty much all the same.

I'm afraid you're right about the price. Just another case of John Deere ripping off their customers for parts. Thanks for the input. If I should somehow stumble across another site or source I will be sure to post it on here for everyone to see. Thanks again.

Unfortunately you'll find even aftermarket products run you nearly the same amount of money. Parts are expensive for any tractor and it's that way because you either way overpay for the part or you have a non working tractor - so you don't have much choice.

Try greenfarmparts.com . Best prices I've found and great service.

Man, was I ever lucky on this one. Turns out it was the thermostat all along. Thermostat was only opening partway not allowing enough water flow to cool things down. I tested it in some 200 degree water and it only opened about 1/4 inch. Bought a new one and tested it also. Open well over 1/2 inch and water circulates fine in radiator. Thanks for all your suggestions. Sometimes life has a way of making you glad to be alive. God Bless:)
