To bad you aren't closer to WI. I just saw my cousin has a 750 for sale and has 17 hours on it.

I have a X740 diesel with 62" deck with 1250 hours on it. New in 2010? I think. Love it but my wife uses it mainly for cutting a few acres. They are super to drive and ride. It is comfortable for a 6' 2" 250#er (not her) to get on and off and the drive pedals are very intuitive to operate.

Quite a few years ago I had a 60" deck with gas engine JD tractor. It worked fine but I got a good deal from a JD factory. I got a new smaller tractor with a 54" deck as an upgrade. After mowing the lawn a couple times I sold it as it was painfully slow, it seemed. Stick with a 60-62" deck on whatever you get .

I have a bigger tractor with loader and RFM to cut the larger chunks of lawn. I never drove a 750 but if it is like an X740 you are on the right track.
I have no problem with a used x740,744,748, but the problem is there’s nothing worth looking at even 3 hours away. They aren’t common where I am. So I’ve settled to looking for new

If I’m paying 16 grand I’ll kick the other few hundred in and get a brand new x750. I have no desire for a used $16,000 x738.

I bought a BX 2680 with a 60" deck for mowing my lawn. I looked at the JD X series but at the end of the day they were garden tractors.

Since getting the BX I have purchased extra implements for my "only going to mow with it tractor" Funny how that works.

Here's a couple of takeaways from my experience.

1: It mows good enough for me. Is it the best, No, but I'm not the guy out polishing my lawn.
2: I am only going to mow with it so I don't need 4x4. Yes I need 4x4. It has got me out of more than a few tight spots. If your thinking of a snow blower than 4x4 will be handy.
3: We all change our minds as we get older. Things we look at now will change later on. Having the ability to add on later will make you happy you went with
a sub-compact other than the garden tractor variety.
4: Resale value will be better on the sub-compact if you decide later not to keep it.

My friend has a Massey Ferguson 1GC Series. I have no experience with it but he loves it. Might be worth a look.

Kurt, I got my Kioti 2520 for 72% of list price. Check out Larry Stovesand or Nolt's for pricing. I love that the radiator is in the front. My JD X750 is always clogging cooling screens every 20 minutes in dry conditions. the Kioti has the twin pedal hydro system like Deere. I don't like the rocker pedal on Kubota. So far I like it. Plus, the Deere dealer just would not deal. They were like, here's the price, do you want it or not. The Kioti also has a cast steel alloy rear axle which I also like. So far, so good with it. One rear turf tire sidewall failed, so I replaced all turf tires with Kenda 502 Terra Trac tires. Should have gotten the R14 tires. Another mistake in life I made.
Was going to get the CS2210 just for mowing but wanted the metal platform and the extra hp for high lift blades. Plus a few more niceties.
