I just purchased a 1994 John Deere model 955, I need to know what manuals I should get and where to get them.

As far as which manuals, you'll want the Operator's Manual which is comparable to the Owner's Manual you get with a car. Covers operation, controls and a bit of maintenance.
Try a Deere dealer first and get the real thing.
If no luck there, try eBay...but only if it's an OEM Deere manual.

For aftermarket, Tractor Supply has IT Manuals for maintenance. Amazon.com also sells IT manuals.
Better then nothing, but I think they're too generic.

Thanks I'll check a local dealer on the manuals, I do want an owners manual and would like to have a service type maunal with detailed information as I will probably do alot of work and maintenence myself,

If you can't find anything at your dealer or eBay, here is a link to the Deere Publication site - they have all the technical manuals for just about any Deere machine.
