I am installing a "new" tranny in my JD GT225. When I removed the old one two shims about 1/4" thick, shaped like half of a dogbone bisquit, were on the floor. I have a feeling these shims go on the same side as the mounting bolts are longer on one side than they are on the other. Any suggestions? Also been told to use regular oil in the tranny. Is jd oil anything special?:cool2:
