After much research and reading posts on this site,I purchased a new john deere gt 235 lawnmower. I have put just 8 hrs. on it,but so far I couldnt be more happy with my decision. The mower has more than enough power with the 18 hp kawasaki motor and I am impressed with the pulling power and traction on hills.The ease of use and simplicity of the machine is amazing. I like the idea of parts and service availibility also. The mower turns very sharp and cuts well. My only complaint is for the need to pull up on the clutch engagement knob before travelling in reverse, to avoid the mower deck shutting down.I hope this 2 cents in-put helps someone in making a purchase decision.
