John deere gator engine

I need to replace the engine in an old gator 4x2. Does anyone know the shaft size and specs? The engine in it now is a fe290d-cs08. I want to replace it with a larger engine, like a 13 hp. I haven't been able to get the clutch off yet.

That sounds like an interesting project.
Do you plan to stick with the same engine brand?

No, i am thinking maybe a generac or a harbor freight special. It just depends on the output shaft.
