I was given a John Deere gator cs, very good overall condition except that the rear end, differential were run dry and basically shot. Price to repair from local dealer is close to $2,600 plus tax. This makes no sense for a entry level machine and wonder if I could retrofit a hydrostatic type transmission . Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, deans
