John Deere fans, so many?

Ever since I purchased my John Deere tractor, everyone seemed to be excited about my purchase. It seems like there are more people who have a love for their JD equipment than any other brand. I have complete strangers talking to me about their John Deere tractors and how much they love it. It's like owning a a Harley Davidson and other bikers reaching out to you. I find this very interesting.

and the high resale even in today's market - trade-ins seem to be very high if you have low hours, because the used market is going pretty well.

Its a Deere thing, I don't know. I did not "primp" my Kubota nearly the same as the Deeres. I still maintained it fine but it just not the same at all. The green and yellow must be a lifestyle?!

Absolutely. Who can look at one of JD's product brochures without picturing themselves in the lush surroundings.

They do kind of crack me up though, pictures of guys out working in the yard in dress slacks and $100 shirts.

Almost hate to admit their marketing works so well...

My first tractor (2520) was delivered at 8:30 AM in April.

I got a phone call from a friend of a friend who had been driving by and saw it getting offloaded from the ramp truck in my yard. At 11:00AM the same day at work.
Just wanted to know if it was true and if he could come by and see it.
I was kinda surprised how many people just wanted to see it. Not drive it, see it.
No one wanted to see my truck when I bought that.

My young children want to go for a ride with me on the LA135 every day I get home from work. All the neighbor kids are looking with envy. I can't wait until I can cut my grass again. What's up with owning a John Deere tractor? It must be something in the paint.

I think people think of it as distinctively American--even though our JD's may be made elsewhere like my 5203 in India. Even though I am a Son of the South and JD is from Yankee origins, I still take pride in that green and yellow machine which, no matter where it is made, is still an American icon.

Sorry for the sentimentality.

Material for the flag can come from China or anywhere, once it gets stars stripes and colored red white and blue 'Its American"
