I have a new (to me) John Deere 5603 tractor (2007) and a John Deere CX-15 Batwing Mower. I have three rear remotes that are controlled by SCV I, II, & III. First time I used this set-up, I noticed that SCV I & III would lock in the float position when pushed all of the way forward. I noticed that SCV II would not lock, it would just spring back. I had SCV I & II controlling each side of the batwing and the III for raising and lowering the mower; which caused one side of the mower to not float. I could switch the hoses so that SCV I & III control the wings and II for the height.

Anyone know what might keep SCV II from locking into the float position? Thanks.

I have the same setup on my tractor. The one valve does not have that feature. I believe the valves you are describing are known as a detent valve.
