Dealer John Deere Buck knife

Has every John Deere owner sent for the Free Buck knife. Received mine today and it is a good size and looks good. Just have to stop and look at a new Deere tractor.

Received the coupon in mail from J.D. and went looked at tractor and sent in coupon couple of weeks later received this knife.
Your dealer doesn't give you free hand cleaner hats or coats.?

That must be the problem, I don't visit or buy enough. The only thing they give free is the brochures.

Seeing how it is free, I wonder if it will be from the U.S.A. or from China.

This John Deere knife is made in U.S. and import parts. Doesn't say from where.
Bantam BBW 0284CMS cat.#5957 on box.
One the knife blade is #284< Buck USA with John Deere trademark of a Buck The knife is camoflouge on hand grips with BUCK imprinted.

I got the postcard with the invitation on it. I didn't feel right about going to my dealer and wasting his time to get a bid on a tractor I knew I wouldn't buy just to get the free knife. My dealer takes pretty good care of me and I wouldn't want to mess that up for a freeby.

Sure am glad you received your Buck knife. Begining to think I was the Lone Ranger .
Like the way it has a pins on side to open some times with gloves on hard to get a grip on the blade.

camo on a knife thats going to be used outside?????? seems like a recipe for a lost knife to me, either way a US made buck is a great knife.

Just purchased a Buck pocket knife 373 Collectors Edition with three blades. It has a China imprint on the blade. I have been told that Buck cuts out the blanks for the blades, and the knife is assembled in China, but they have to stamp China on the blade to import them back into the USA. Don't know for sure.
