John Deere 997 engine rpm when mowing

What is the best engine rpm to use when mowing with a John Deere 997 with 72” deck

For any mower in general, I’d run it at the max rpm. That should give you the best cut.

The 72" deck is rated at 17,000fpm at 3000 engine rpm.

A tractor normally has indicator of engine RPM to get the designed PTO RPMs for the implement. Most mowers if rear mowers on smaller tractors run at 540 pto RPMS. If Belly mower I have no idea the rpms needed for that.
