I recently picked up a 1987 755 with FEL and mid mower. I was thinking about purchasing a front end snowblower, but I have heard that in order to install a snow blower on this tractor you have to remove brackets for the loader in order to mount a snowblower. This sounds like a huge pain in the butt and I was wondering if anyone on this forum can chime in and let me know if this is true or not. It seems that most the guys at my local dealership don't remember much about this model.
From what I found on the internet I think the model 47 and 59 blowers both fit on this model.
thanks, Karl

Welcome to TBN and congratulations on your 755 purchase! A very fine tractor. (I might be biased but it is a nice tractor.)

You are correct about the major pain to remove all the loader brackets. That's why I sold my nice 380 front blade. Not worth the trouble, and rather have the loader readily available.

The 755 is rated for the 47 inch snow blower, but not the 59. After reviewing the diagrams on JD Parts it looks like you may be in luck with the 47 blower brackets. Best I can tell it uses the same front mounting method as the mid-mount mower. The MMM has a bracket that easily attaches to the tractor and the mower attaches to that. The 47 blower just uses a different bracket for it to attach to. If all this is true it looks like a nice setup even I would be interested in.

I never did have to mount the snowblower on my 855 with the early 52 loader, but I did have the snowblower mount on at the same time with no problems.

Gentleman,
Thanks for the replies. I am going to search for model 47 snowblower then. The model 59 does look a little big for the 755.

The mounting brackets are different.

Not sure what you are referring to. I said the snow blower and MMM brackets are different (as shown in the attachment), but mount in a similar fashion to the tractor. Maybe you are saying something else.

My misunderstanding - I agree with you.

I just picked up a model 47 snowblower with the bracket and pto shaft for 1800.00. Glad I did, we just 15" of snow over 2 days and I had no problem moving 4' drifts. The model 47 is a good match for the 755. I made it work a little here and there, but overall it is nice smooth running blower.

Isn't that something,

The 59 could be used on a 670, (18.5 HP), 855 and 955, but,

Not for the 755 (20 HP), ?
