Planters John Deere 71 Planter

As soon as I have finished with my post driver I'll start taking apart and repainting 6 71 planters I picked up last summer. I'll try soda blasting first. A while back someone posted this link to a soda blasting tutorial. I think it will work fine to clean the dirt and grease off the 71's.

I do have the parts manual put together in pdf if you want a copy just pm me and I'll send it to you on Monday. I also have the printed Operators Manual just not in pdf.

I found out yetter supplies parts for the "71" but not the "70" just make sure what you have. Yetter has a parts book online also. You can get seed plates from a place in nebraska can't think of there name now, someone help me out here. The only difference I can find between the 70 and 71 is the cast iron seed tube is round on the 70 and square on the 71. you need to know this if you need the seed tube extensions like I did. bjr

I live right across town from you, and i am interested in one or two the planters you have. i have lots of metal. i can fabricate and weld also. maybe we could work something out.
