John Deere 5225
Newbie here. I have a 5225 that I have had for 3 years, love the tractor and the lack of fuel consumption that comes with it. However, my previous tractor was a 5220 that was naturally aspirated and was much more torquey than my 5225 that is turbo. Upon looking on youtube and various other sites I have noticed that the few videos that are out there of both the 5065m and 5325 show the engine sounding very torquey and quick revving. Neither one of those charasteritics describe my 5225. What is the difference enginewise between these three seemingly identical machines? I am sure that injectors is probably going to be the answer but want to know regardless.

My 5225 is also very very slow at revving and quite noisy! The 5225, 5325 and 5065M all share the same engine. I am not sure about emission wise though. Most likely its the same tier as well.

For it to be a 3.0ltr engine with a turbo I consider it very underpowered. It being a 5 cylinder I expect it to have small pistons and no low end torque but not on this level.

I think its the same engine the 4020 series uses. Except a added cylinder. But the 4 Cyl 2.4 Liter is quite much quicker at revving.

I have a 2006 JD 5225 straddle-mount tractor. Mine is noisy, consumes little fuel, revs fairly quickly, and has enough torque & power for whatever I throw at it. All I can compare it to is my previous machine, a 1973 IH 2400A 3-cylinder 2WD tractor. I don't know anything yet about the 5225 injectors.
