John Deere 510 tractor - need expertize on power steering

Hi all, I recently bought an older (I think it's a 1968) 510 tractor. While doing some maintenance, I noticed that the pulley on the power steering shaft was loose; turns out it had been replaced and is not the right pulley. I contacted a dealer and they could not find the info on the pulley for me. They suggested I contact a tractor salvage-used parts (Fawcett in Ontario). They told me that the 510 did not have a seperate power steering pump that ran on the cooling fan setup, but rather that the power steering ran off the hydraulics of the tractor with a pressure lowering valve. When I look at the power steering pump setup, it sure looks original to me. Has anyone seen another 510 with the power steering setup that could help me out? Thank you in advance. Yves

Just a guess but I'm wondering if the dealer was talking about an industrial 510 which was a loader/backhoe and not the 510 I found in tractordata? I'm assuming you have a 510 similar to this one? TractorData.com John Deere 510 tractor information

No it was the farm tractor model. There is little data out there on this tractor as they only made it from 65 to 68. I tried to find pictures but no luck. I guess I could try and find another that's for sale and go have a look...

I tried viewing parts catalog 4004 and on page 80-6 is the PS pump(AL37752 HYDRAULIC PUMP ADD 674.85 USD) Of coarse since the PC was only in a foreign language(German) It' a little difficult to view.

Thanks guys for the information. I hope to get lucky and find someone who owns a 510 tractor (not backhoe or baler) who can confirm my setup. In the meantime, I found an aftermarket pulley that I hope I can get to fit on the pump and get the tractor going again; I need it for snow !!!!!! I live in Canada....
