2013 john deere 5075E and others
So i bought a 2013 5075E in 2014, 2wd, no cab, dealer added 5 suitcase weights plus weight hanger block, along with an extra set of remotes. I added a fiberglass canopy and running board mats. It weighed in at 6890 with a half tank of fuel and me not on it. It now has 160 hours on it with most of that pulling a 10 foot bushhog. The only issue I've had was a dry rotted fuel line which was replaced under warrenty and while they where here the replaced the starter. The starter worked fine but said it was a recalled. The day they delivered the tractor it dyno'ed at 74 PTO HP. Yeah I was there and watched it. After they did the two year inspection they dyno'ed it again at 82. I wan't there for that one. The inspection revealed no problems. I did add about a quart of coolant because of a leak. I tighened all hose clamps a little more with no further loss. The saleman did tell me this common on these tractors before I bought it.I understand I bought a low end tractor feature wise but here are some things i'd like to add/change/improve. I would like a light in the dash to show the preheater is on. I should have added a horn and a brushgaurd. The shift from R-2 and back is great and 3-2 is good but the rest are no where near synconized.I plan to add a toolbox at the back of the tractor.I'd like have some dye in the hydraulic fluid so I can see it on the stick. As I said in a earlier post I pulled a JD 459E baler with it with no issues. Holler back if you have questions. .

I would check with my dealer and see if putting dye in the hydraulic oil would cause any warranty issues.

Regarding weight:
- I'm assuming no FEL?
- Are the tires loaded?

There's probably a way to convert that dang PTO on/empty seat buzzer into a horn (Other than just standing up). BTW, do you know where that buzzer is actually located. I've yet to find it (but when I do....!!).

Your right, hose clamps and starter are/were an issue. Also, I'm watching/waiting for the "cold start (fuel pump)advance temp switch" to go. There's threads here about that. I believe that when it goes, it shorts and blows a fuse that then (if I remember right) keeps the fuel shut off and tractor will turn over but won't start. Either replace or unplug faulty sensor and you're good to go.

Yea JD used to put dye in from factory but they have gotten away from it for some reason on some models that I've seen come in new. It's easy to see on dip stick and spot a leak. I used to work for Caterpillar and they put dye in all new machines. Very easy to see red in yellow iron. Dye in your hydraulic system won't be an issue. Helps us techs find those small hard to locate leaks
