Price Check John Deere 500 pricing

I am selling a 1970's John Deere 500 backhoe with high miles (15,000 hours), it doesn't run, needs fuel line work. What would be a decent price to ask? I had an offer for $1500 but that seems low. I've also contacted scrap metal yards thinking I could sell it for it's metal but as it doesn't run, I have no way of getting it there.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you!

Where are you located?
I may interested in the machine since I also have a JD 500-C that's not running.
Maybe I can use yours and mine and make one running tractor? :laughing:

$1500 sounds like a more than fair price for a non running backhoe.
