What does everyone think of theses tractors. I have been looking at Kubotas and Deeres and the Deere seems to have the best financing available. I have awesome dealers for both here in town with wonderful service where I have already spend SEVERAL thousands of dollars on equipment. What tractor would this compare to in a Kubota?

Look in the John Deere specific buying pricing and owning and operating threads and you will find tons of information about this machine. You might try a search on 4310 as well. Whatever you do don't ask BlurryBill about his. Hopefully he has gotten all of the problems worked out although I think they are more related to the dealer than the actual tractor.

I think the Kubota competitor would be the L3010. Test drive them both, and one may set itself apart from the other. I have a 7 month old 4300, and I couldn't be happier with it.

Why wouldn't he want to get ALL of the information available?

TD -

I disagree. Why not ask Bill, or anyone else for that matter, what their opinion is?

First of all, to my knowledge, Bill has never said anything negative about the machine itself. His problems have been with the dealer and how the dealer failed to fulfill their end of the purchase agreement.

Secondly, I would think that any potential buyer would want to know about problems that a certain machine might have a history of. I know I would! For example, when I first started looking at tractors, through TBN, I discovered that the early models of JD 4400's had experienced all kinds of problems. This certainly gave me pause, and made me look twice at other comparable machines.

I agree that a search on TBN would be very useful and informative. But I would pay very close attention to those comments that are less than complimentary.

Sorry for the misunderstanding,

Perhaps I should have put a smiley face or something after my mention of BlurryBill. That response was meant to be somewhat comical. /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif My apologies.

Bill would be an excellent source of information on this subject - Heck he spent 4 years researching tractors before purchasing the 4310. That alone might tell you which tractor in that class he found to be the best.

I'm glad to hear that TD./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Quite frankly, when I read it the first time, I thought that it didn't sound like something you'd say! It's been said numerous other times on TBN on how it's too bad we can't see someone's face or hear the inflection in their voice when they post something so that we better understand what is being said.

Thanks for the clarification. There's enough misunderstanding going on in some other threads that we don't need any problems anywhere else! /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Sorry I misread your comments too./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Same here, TD. Guess my nerves are a little raw of late; sorry. I DO think it's the best tractor in its class and that's why I bought it. That other stuff is hopefully secondary to the designed quality of the machine. I hope everyone else is getting that message. I haven't given up on Deere yet (own two now - LX279 and the 4310). Keep posting.

Bill

My mistake,

After rereading my post I could see how it could easily be read the other way. I wrote that late Saturday night.

I have been following some of the other threads you mention, and I'm suprised to say the least. Especially Bill's 4310 thread. WOW. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

On a another note - I missed my golf game this weekend as the CFO convinced me I need to drive 3 hours to get a puppy for my kids. Talk at you later.

<font color=blue>"...I missed my golf game this weekend..."</font color=blue>

Was that the tournament you were going to play in?

Puppies are wonderful things (we flew to Arizona to get ours!) - but to miss a golf game! I don't know!?/w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Bill,

Now I think I know why Muhammed put all of those smiley icons out there. They aren't just for us to play around with but.......

I can understand your nerves. I cannot even begin to understand how I would feel if my new tractor wasn't able to do all the things I bought it for - especially the simple fun of just puttering around. I bought my machine used and can only dream of the day when the busget director will let me buy a new one. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Yep, missed the tourney. 2 very cute - begging little blue eyed blonde girls (5 and 8) got the best of me.

Good news is it rained anyway.

<font color=blue>"Good news is it rained anyway."</font color=blue>

ANYWAY??? Don't you mean "as usual"?/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif Weren't you the one who mentioned playing in the rain was the norm for you guys out there? /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

<font color=blue>"2 very cute - begging little blue eyed blonde girls (5 and 8) got the best of me."</font color=blue>

Now those are 2 of the excuses for missing a golf game that ARE perfectly acceptable! /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

What kind of puppy did you....er....they get?

Todd:

Pictures we must have picturs. Puppy pictures that is. Including action and family shots.

And this request from someone who has been saying for months that I need to buy one of those new digi-thingy cameras and stil haven't got around to it.

Russ,

I know I need to put some pictures out there. She's a good pooch. I even have a really nice digital camera (and know how to use it) so I have no excuse whatsoever. I will work on that before she gets too big.
