Just curious. My axel housing is leaking were it bolts up to the differential housing. Are there any springs, gears or anything else that might pop out or surprise me when I take it apart to reseal it?

Not too complicated, nor anything to jump out at you.
If just the housing seal to the transaxle, then don't need to remove the axle from the housing.

But if the axle seal, then:
Remove housing (6 bolts), that allows you to get at the snap ring that holds the axle in the housing.
Bearings and seals slide out (may need some help with a press or similar force).

The service (tech) manual would be a good investment if planning more DIY work on the 425.

Hope it goes well, and shout out if more info is needed, and give us a progress report. Pics along the way would be great help to readers as well.
