John Deere 410C
Hello to All,
I have a John Deere 410C 4x4 extend-a-hoe. The driver side axle broke off and I replaced the axle, planetary gears and housing and put it back together and then when I went to drive it in 2 Wheel Dr. it wouldn’t move, I put it in four-wheel-drive and the front tires move then I step on the differential lock and the rear wheels will move so basically my problem is in 2 Wheel Dr. it won’t move, somebody please help me with what it might be. Thank you for your time. I appreciate it.

Welcome to TBN!

It sounds like you broke your differential side and/or pinion gear(s) on the differential. #9, 10

If you don't find your answer here, you might get better exposure on the TBN "Construction Equipment" forum. This Deere forum is mostly ag tractors.

Thank you guys for your replies and information. I appreciate your time and I guess I’ll be dropping the transfer case again! UGH!

I think if that tractor was under my supervision I'd remove rear trans cover for a visual inspection of rear differential.
