john deere 410c backhoe hydraulic fluid

where is the hydraulic tank located on a 1986 john deere 410c turbo backhoe? I also cannot seem to find the fill cap or dipstick? any help would be appreciated.

hyd oil dipstick parts key #9. I couldn't locate hyd oil filler cap in parts schematics.

That seems to show the dipstick going into the shuttle, i would think there would have to be a hydraulic fluid tank? As it holds 21 gal of fluid.

The trans/differential housing/hyd system is the hyd reservoir.

oh that makes sense, so which one of these dipsticks is for the hydraulic fluid and which one is the transmission? I assume you would just fill through the dipstick tube? as there seems to be no fill cap.

Since I was employed at a JD dealership that was an agriculture only dealer my industrial tractor knowledge is limited. Have you given any thought to purchasing an operators manual for your machine? The many operators manuals I've read have some very valuable info. in them.

I would say add it in the dipstick tube. It won't hurt anything may just take longer to fill.

On a Deere 310C the fill is a hex plug on top of the hydraulic tank. Look there on your machine...
