Took the turfs off and put the R4s on. Suits me better.Very nice! Are you taking the turfs off for R4's or did you take R4's off and put on turfs?
Between Sioux City Iowa and Omaha Nebraska. 40 miles east of Missouri River. And yes I'll be posting pictures. I love this thing.Congrats on the new tractor. We need more pics of course!!!!
Welcome to TBN. Wealth of information here. And members are always willing to help you spend money on tractor stuff!!!!
Where is Charter Oak? I'm six miles from Iowa near I-35.![]()
How does the turfs do? I have a similar just older tractor, I run mainly on grass and pasture, I don't think I would ever buy a set like you have there mounted on there own rims but the thought has crossed my mind of getting turfs, my dads 445 has turfs and gets around good in the snow, the turfs are easy on the grass and I can't think of a time it's been pulled out of the mud, I have used that tractor a lot and been in mud up to the deck and deff lock got it out. So I think turf tires on my 4320 wouldn't be so bad, it's 4wd with deff.
Yes I compared a garden tractor to a large compact (usually rich calls me out lol) but it's the only thing I have to compare to with turfs. I guess I would be after a tire easier on grass but can still pull itself out of a little mud. Only thing I'm pulling is a rear blade, I do a lot of FEL (pallet forks) work with it.
Will do. I am nothing but happy with the 4052r. At times I would like to try a 66 to see if it any more power pulling the Hills in road gear but then I think life is all about seat time. .
I think the turfs would of worked just fine for me and what I do. I mainly move pallets of weights around and move snow. The reasons I went with the R4s is this. Heavier side walls on the front tires for loader work. 2. More ground clearance. 3 I wanted to add wheel weights. The only option I had was 50 pound wheel weights with the turf rim. With the R4 rim I could add the 106 pound wheel weights. And #4. I like the look alot better. I have some projects I would like to do this summer. I think the R4s will give me better traction when digging dirt. How does the turfs do? Turfs that I have are 20" and R4s are 24". The R4s raised the rear of the tractor 4 or 5 inchesBFJ
Turfs require different rims than the R4's.

Yes john. Growing up in the AG business, I call compacts BIG garden tractors as well. Most of my family do farm today. Nonetheless, if they get the job done, I don't care what they are called.
