What type of antifreeze should I put in my John Deere (early 60's model) 4010

The standard green mixed 50-50 works fine.

I'll second that the 50/50 should work just fine for you.

If it were me I'd use JD Cool-Gard. If not I would sure add a coolant conditioner to antifreeze to help control cylinder wall cavitation which allows coolant into cylinders requiring cyl liner replacement
