Comparison John Deere 348 or New Holland BC5070

Interested in hearing your opinion. I am looking to buy a new baler

all i can say is we have put many thousand bales threw a 570 nh which is the same baler as a bc 5070 (my grandpaw baled about 30,000 to 40,00 bales a year until his death) then i baled about 5-10 thousand a year until the frame gave way i believe it was about 20 years old before the frame broke. It never had any major trouble just the common wear parts

between it and the jd's i have run the jd's wouldn't make as tight and nice bale and also not has heavy of a bale

The old NH 570 was a great baler. no other baler was as good. i am not sure if others have updated to be as good but they were never in the game before!

i agree i have a friend that has a 336 jd that broke and he used are 570 and loved it so much he baled the rest of his hay that year with it and paided to use it instead of his 336 everybody in my area that bales alot of hay that is the only baler they will use

Depending on price and cond ..the NH would be my choice

Just to clarify, the 570 was replaced by the BC5060, and the 575 is now the BC5070. Outstanding balers.

DE7 That is my thought, to go with the 5070. A dealer near me has the a 3 year old 5070. Its job was to stay in the barn and bale straw fed to it in round bales. The operation that has it trades every 3 years. It has been maintained by the dealer on a regular schedule since new. I want to buy new but the deal is too good not to consider. :confused2:
