Just tried my tiller out today. It seems it is working the tractor a lot harder than it should. I had the depth as deep as it would go and the ground was dry but I could only go .6 or .7 mph. I had a 2305 with a 47 inch tiller and never seemed to work it near as hard. Was wondering if anyone else has had the same experience. I must admit i am disappointed. The tractor seems to run fine otherwise when cutting grass and using the loader.

I have a 4310 with a 655 tiller. Same hp, smaller tiller. I go as slow as the cruise control will let me because the tiller does a better job. It seems VERY slow compared to anything else you do with the tractor. I can go faster but the tiller leaves chunks. If you want to go fast I would get a disk and you can make many passes to get finely tilled soil. I will make 2-3 passes to get to full depth on the tiller. Hope this helps!!
